Discussions on Diversity in Adult Education Professional Learning Series (PLS) -Interest Form
Thank you for your interest in being a part of this conversation and learning about diversity in adult education. These professional learning series opportunities are being brought to you by Elevation Educational Consulting Group (EECG; www.ElevationEd.com).

By participating in this series, it is expected that you will actively engage with the content, each other, and the facilitators. EECG staff and owner, Daquanna Harrison, will guide discussions, reflections, and connections. Professionals who become a part of these communities will have the chance to:

learn about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) practices that translate to the adult education field and classroom,
engage with colleagues in discussions focused on diversity, leading to deeper understanding of the many challenges and successes across the adult education spectrum, and
reflect on their own biases and how to interpret them, while evaluating how they could support diversity and equity at their individual programs and positions.

Your commitment:
Participation in the PLS will involve approximately 20 hours over 6 weeks. This opportunity will be limited to 30 participants each. We are currently offering the below 6-week sessions:

All PLSs will include:
-A live online kickoff session the first week of the course
-1.5 hour live online sessions, every other week (6-week session: 3 live sessions), note the first session is the 2nd week of the course, the week after the kickoff, and all other sessions are then every other week
-Weekly up to 3 hours of asynchronous work through Canvas,
-Possible live online small group discussion (time/date decided by the group members),
-Exploration and reflection on your biases and blind spots, while sharing your experiences with others, and
-Digital certificates for 80%+ completion; professional development hours.

Enrollment Pricing:
-6-week sessions cost $360

*Note that we hope you are able to attend all sessions and complete all of the work but please do not eliminate yourself if you know you may miss a session or two we can adjust for those needs.
